First, a few words about most the books or blogs you read – forget about them.
Chances are you’re following the wrong information which is not going to help you get where you want to go.
My name’s Billy Murphy, and I’m a 29 year old serial entrepreneur living in Austin, TX.
I’ve always been interested in making money. Ever since I was a kid, making money always intrigued me. When I was 9 years old, I got a paper route. You had to be 12 to get one, so I had my mom call and talk to them to see if they’d make an exception.
I wanted it really bad. The kid across the street was quitting, and I heard he made about $50/week. That’s like millions to a 9 year old. Long story short – I got the job, and the money, and have been hooked on learning how to make more of it ever since.
I’ve done everything from selling sports card collections, to investing in real estate, to being a professional poker player, and starting several different companies. I’ve had a number of successes, and have got my ass kicked a few times too.
It’s worked out pretty well so far. Through all the experiences, I’ve learned what to do if you want to make a lot of money, as well as what not to do.
I’ve always believed if you want uncommon results, you’ve got to travel an uncommon path.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—. I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. -Robert Frost
A long time ago I decided that I needed to learn what the rich were doing to get rich. I worked on all sorts of ideas from what I saw the rich doing, and years ago I would finally learn, it wasn’t what the rich were doing that made them rich, it was why and how they were doing it.
Making money is not complicated, it’s just not an area explored by many people you know.
Why did I start Forever Jobless?
I’ve had a lot of long conversations with friends who wanted to know how I make money. What I’ve learned about making money is more than I can explain in a phone conversation, or an email exchange. This seemed to be the most efficient way to share what I know, and to help a greater number of people.
Due to a lot of urging, I finally caved.
The two main reasons I finally gave in:
1. I really want to help people. I enjoy helping teach through my experiences and what I’ve learned, and I do get satisfaction when I give advice about business/making money and hear that it’s helped someone. I guess it’s my way of giving back.
I feel there’s a terrible environment in the “make money” space online. There’s a lot of people teaching how to make money online, and very few of these people actually know how to make money.
Most of these people only make money selling information on how to make money. So, all of the aspiring entrepreneurs are learning from people they should not be listening to, and everyone is being taught nonsense (e.g. learn how to sell ebooks to people who want to sell ebooks about selling ebooks).
It’s viewed as one of the most crowded markets there is, and while it may be a very crowded market, there’s not a lot of value being offered right now.
2. I’d like to expand my network. I feel there’s a lot of people out there I’d love to meet, but have no idea they exist right now, and vice versa, there may be people out there who’d be interested in getting to know me, but have no idea I exist.
I’ve pretty much stayed behind the scenes in everything I’ve done so far outside of a few entrepreneurial groups knowing what I’m up to. I think it would be beneficial to get to know more people, and have more people get to know me. I don’t really know what will come of it, but I won’t ever know unless I do it.
My goal with this site:
To put out better content than anyone else is putting out on the subject of making money. I’ll be honest, I’m not a writer. Not even close. But if you can get through my writing, it will be worth the effort.
What I do know, is how to make money.
I want to help people learn to do the same. It’s not a quick process, but if people stick it out, they’ll be amazed at how the money making process simplifies. It almost becomes laughably easy once you know how to play the game that so many others fail to understand. The people you’ll be playing the game against will rarely understand the rules, let alone be able to compete with you.
Who should read this blog?
People who want to learn to make real money. If you’re looking to make a couple bucks as an affiliate spammer this isn’t the blog for you.
There’s a ton of misinformation about how to make money. Most people who know how to make money, don’t blog. Most people who blog, don’t know how to make money. So, the majority of information being taught is by people who don’t know how to make money. Simple math will show the huge majority of people trying to make money online will be going in all the wrong directions.
Why?
Because the % chance they happened to land on some information they should be following is extremely low. If they did, the % chance they’d know that was the person to listen to would also be extremely low, because it will go against most of the misinformation they’ve heard, which will be the majority voice.
This blog will teach you to think outside the box.
Since most people operate inside the box, you’ll find the competition outside the box to be very low.
The biggest thing you can change today, is to start listening only to those you aspire to be like, and ignoring everyone else. If you are taking advice from people who haven’t been where you want to go yet, you are wasting your time.
Today’s a good day to change your course.
If you think you’ll get value of the things I plan to share, subscribe to the updates, and I’ll do my best to help you. Feel free to introduce yourself in the comments.
